On being thankful. Day 20

Well, lookit me, getting on here two days in a row! Is this a record?

Sorry to disappoint you, but there's no big news. Today was just an average day in which I edited, did laundry, went to the gym, ran two miles, and baked cookies to send my Air Force son who is half a world away.

Oh, and you know that recipe for red beans and rice you keep seeing on Pinterest? This one? I made that today too, and it was better than the first time. I used half the Creole seasoning (1 Tablespoon). Last time I made it, I followed the recipe exactly and it was way too salty, so this time I modified and it was wonderful. I might eat the leftovers for breakfast.

Tomorrow I will be making food to take to my brother's on Thursday, and I'm going to be daring and use the frozen apple pie filling I made last month. If it's bad, I'll have to come up with some excuse. Any ideas?

20. Today I'm thankful for the people God puts in my life who teach me things I'm too "smart" to learn by myself. He knows just what—and who—we need.

Be thankful ~

Can you somehow blame it on Pinterest? Worth a shot anyway.
