What's on your movie list?

I was just about to say I've had a perfectly worthless day, but then I remembered the four hours (!!!) I spent cleaning out my filing cabinet and then filing the last eight months' worth of papers. I skipped church because I'm still trying to get rid of my cough, but certainly felt well enough to tackle the job I've been putting off since March. I might be a procrastinator.

Anyway, other than that and the six shirts I just ironed and the batch of chocolate-chip-with-walnuts cookies I baked, I didn't do a productive thing.

Also, I've been trying to watch a few movies. Doesn't that sound weird? Trying to watch movies? I've never been a movie watcher, mostly because I can't stand the commercials and don't much like the dramatic, good-guy-kills-the-bad-guy kind, and that's mostly what's on TV. I did like the Bourne movies, and a few of Harrison Ford's, but never got into anything else.

But for some reason lately, I've been feeling like I hear people talk about this movie or that one, and I have no idea what they're talking about. So here I am. Watching movies.

Today I watched Steel Magnolias, and while I wouldn't say it was my favorite, it was entertaining, and I laughed myself silly when the family was playing Go Fish the night before Shelby's kidney transplant, and the boy said, "Mama, give me all your internal organs," and the dad got so mad. I still don't know why that tickled me so, but I'm laughing now just thinking about it. And I learned where Pioneer Woman got the phrase, "I love you more than my luggage." So it's all good.

Last week I watched Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith. That was also a good movie, and I definitely cried with him at the end.

My favorite of all time is While You Were Sleeping (love Sandra Bullock). What else should I watch?

Be thankful ~

Karen

Oh, man, I've seen "Steel Magnolias" so many times! And I still tear up and then laugh hysterically at the scene after Shelby's funeral!
"...I just wanna hit something! I wanna hit it hard until it feels as bad as I do!"
"HERE! HIT THIS!"
"Have you lost your mind!?"
"C'mon, Claree! Knock her lights out! We'll sell t-shirts saying 'I whacked Wheezer Boudreaux!"
*sigh* What a great movie!

There are two movies that I will watch over and over - "My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days".
Oh, and "Chicago"
Oh, and "Gone with the Wind"
OK, I'm done!

Oh! Oh! I just watched a good one. It is called Temple Grandin and I LOVED it. I think it is a new release and also a true story. Well worth the time in my opiniion.

You will probably groan but "The Sound of Music" is my favorite. If you haven't seen "The Blindside" it is a must see also. I hope "While You Were Sleeping" is on again soon. I love that movie too!
