I am alive.

I have not been here in a long time. (I know, right?) I've been pretty busy with editing and having Ben's cold and trying to remember not to pick things up with my right hand because I have tendinitis (I think) in my right elbow (at least I hope that's what it is). And then we had snow and spent a small fortune getting two cars through inspection, after which Ben's truck promptly broke and is up on jacks down in the cul-de-sac. Our neighbors love us. And so do the bus drivers, who now cannot swing around the circle. They swing part way, then back up, and wind up doing the equivalent of a K-turn down there every morning. Ben has ordered parts, but they won't be here until next week. Poor bus drivers.

In other news, Abbey is on her way to Louisiana for spring break to do some kind of missions-related construction. She has her shorts on and is very happy to escape the snow and cold wind. She is live-tweeting their journey south and just wrote: "South Carolina your gas prices are glorious!" I might be jealous.

Mansquared is on his way home for the week, where he will be giving the dog a bath, going to the dump, and working with Padre to make money for the fall tuition bill. I've already started cooking in earnest. Today we have white chili and a big pot of spaghetti sauce for tomorrow's lasagna, plus chocolate chip cookies and the beginnings of Blueberry Yum-Yum. And a gallon of sweet tea.

Later . . .

Okay, so Mansquared has been fed and he and Padre have gone to fix some lady's toilet. Pete just about had a nervous breakdown when Mansquared showed up. His whining was the equivalent of a sobbing girlfriend when her military guy comes home from deployment. It was quite pathetic.

TTFN.

Be thankful ~
