Today marks five weeks since the beginning of the mystery illness. I am often discouraged by my apparent lack of progress in getting better. But this morning while I was reading my Bible, I read a quote from my former pastor, Don Forrester, that I had written in a margin. He said "Discouragement is selfishness to the Nth degree." This from a man who has been completely blind since boyhood.
So I'm working on not being discouraged.
Today I'm thankful for my good health and the ability to exercise. And a new yoga mat. :)
