Weekend recap. I'm sorry to put you through this.

Ben came home from the hospital Friday night, much to his delight. Unfortunately, the nurse took forever to get his pic line out, so by the time we could leave, there was a monsoon outside complete with trees blowing over sideways and a tornado warning. But by the time we got everything together, it wasn't too bad and we were on our way. We spent an hour chasing down prescriptions and finally got home around 9. I worked until midnight and it seemed like that was going to be a good schedule until I tried to get out of bed Saturday morning. I can be a night owl for a few days, but at some point it catches up to me and I fall out at 8 pm. That was Saturday night. Today (Sunday) I still feel exhausted. I'm hoping one more early-to-bed night will do the trick.

So Ben is home and we're working on figuring out what works and what doesn't. He goes for long (albeit slow) walks, is eating more, and seems to be feeling pretty good considering what his body has been through. I think we might live through this.

This week Deb, David, and the babies are coming on Wednesday, Leah's coming on Friday, and more family members are coming Sunday. Before that I need to get a bunch of work done and get groceries. And there's a wedding on Saturday and two doctor appointments on Friday.

And since by now you're bored to tears reading about the mundane details of my life, I'll go to bed and try to catch up on my sleep.

Be thankful ~

Karen
