We put TopSpot on Pete every month year round to keep him from getting fleas, so I know he's flea-free. But he still itches. The vet once told me he has sensitive skin and needs vitamins which cost $46 a bottle. I think he'll just have to scratch a little.
This looks like he's going to take a big bite out of his hind leg, but he's really just itching.

LOL - that is expensive skin cream! Your shot is perfect for this week's theme.
Have a great weekend.
Our sisfur, Jasmine, had a awful, terrible skin condition. Some places had no fur! She had it so bad when she first came here. The vet told us to get some 4mg generic Chlor-trimeton and give her a half tablet every 12 hours. Her itch is gone, her fur is beautiful. Maybe your vet would say you could do that!
Hope you have a nice weekend.

oh, i hope he finds relief soon. i think it's also a reaction to stress. my dog scratches himself when he's nervous or excited.
LOL, he looks like he's about 30% mouth in that picture :D
