She waits. She reads. She scores!

Remember back when we were sanding floors? And putting the finish on them? Well since then, we've had no rug in the living room, and Ben wanted one. Pete especially wanted one, since when he tries to sit on the wood floor, his four paws slide in different directions until he gives up and sinks like a puddle.

It was decided that Abbie and I would go shopping for one over her winter break, which ends Saturday. So naturally, we put it off until this week.

We checked Lowe's. Nothing we liked.

Went to Home Depot. A few we liked, but they were $800.

In the meantime, I've been watching Craigslist, not really thinking I'd find something, but watching anyway.

Well, my watching paid off in a big way. Yesterday afternoon I saw an ad for a like-new, 7.5' by 10.5' rug that included a photo. The ad was two days old, so I figured it would already be gone.

Long story short, here it is in my living room:

$50. My husband loves me.
