Playing with white balance.

I figured out where the white balance control is, thanks to Darcy. So today I stepped out onto my deck in the sunshine and took a few photos. Then I realized that although it's sunny out, the woods are in the shade, so I switched the WB control to shade.

This shot take at ISO 200, f/16, SS 1/13:

and at the same settings with white balance set to shade, but with the green pumped up:

It's too much green and the first shot is more realistic, but it was interesting to see what I could do by playing with the controls. And now I know where they are! I'm still completely intimidated by custom setting the white balance, but at least I know how to get at it and what it does.

Be thankful ~

Karen
