The T-shirt.

A dear reader asked about the shirt Elijah was wearing in this photo:

She wondered if the story was too personal to share. But that's because she can't see the fine print.  ;)

Here's the shirt:

See where it says Matthew 26:28? Here's what the verse says:

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

In case you've never heard, it's the blood of Jesus that washes our sins away. It wasn't enough for Him to be born of a virgin, live a sinless life, and die on an old rugged cross. God required the blood of a spotless lamb, just like He did in the old testament. Leviticus 17:11: For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Jesus was our spotless Lamb.

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

So yes, it's very personal. But it's definitely not too personal to share.

Be thankful ~

Karen
