Not quite Methuselah, but I'm getting there.

I've decided getting older is not so bad. There are some advantages:

1. When you gather with a bunch of other home-school families to have a pancake brunch, you have the oldest kids, thereby ensuring the ones dumping cream cheese pancakes with strawberry syrup and whipped cream on the floor are not yours.

2. The other moms assume you are wise.

3. You have a great excuse for forgetting things.

4. You don't require as much sleep.

I'm sure there are more. What do YOU think are the positives about getting older?

Be thankful ~

Karen

Having an excuse for going "UNH! when I stand up from sitting on the floor! I can blame that on getting old! Beats the heck out of it coming from just being "round"!

The people at the roasted nut stand in the mall don't ask for your ID (apparently, you have to be 18 to get roasted nuts because of allergy liability and stuff).
People don't give you dirty looks for being in the Motherhood store.
YOU DON'T REQUIRE AS MUCH SLEEP!

12-year-olds now assume I know what I'm talking about.
No one thinks you're a lost child in Wal-mart when you're not with your mom.
The older you get, the better excuse you have for ditching fashion and wearing only comfortable clothes.
